Vermont Cricket Club runs a comprehensive junior cricket program in a safe and friendly environment for children of all ages and abilities. Vermont has qualified coaches and experienced players that will help develop all junior players’ skills within a friendly environment. Vermont juniors puts a premium on participation and welcomes all parents to become involved in their child’s team.

In 2023/24 Vermont fielded fourteen teams with over 150 boys and girls playing. In 2024/25 Vermont will have teams in both the Ringwood District Cricket Association and the Box Hill Reporter District Cricket Association. Our home games and training venues are Vermont Reserve and Terrara Park.

Vermont junior registrations are now open via Register | PlayHQ

With registration you will receive:

· New players will receive a free player shirt and cap.

· Returning players that register before the end of August will receive a free playing shirt.

The Vermont PlayHQ registration page also has information on all club merchandise available for order.

All junior players (below the U16 age group) have access to the full range of cricket equipment that is provided to each team and age group.

2024/25 JUNIOR CRICKET PROGRAM

Woolworths Junior Blasters is an introduction to cricket providing a skills-based program - using soft cricket balls - it is ideal for 6–7-year-olds to get their first taste of club cricket.

Girls Squad for girls aged between 8 and 15.

Super 7s is perfect for children that have had a year in Blasters and is aimed at players younger than 8.

Fast 9s is for 8-year-olds. Both Super 7s and Fast 9s are non-competitive but follows a game structure that prepares children for competition at

Competitive teams at U12s, U14s, U16s and U18s levels.

REPRESENTATIVE CRICKET

Vermont cricketers are eligible to play representative cricket with the Ringwood District Cricket Association.
